The thing about living in Michigan is you experience all seasons…even the gloomy ones.

Spring is upon us now and it oftentimes dampens my mood. All the rain makes me sleepy and a little sad.

The anticipation of warm summer days has me impatient with the drizzle and foggy days of spring. Ugh.

I remind myself though, that spring is a season marked by growth and beauty. Without the rainy days of spring, there would be no beautiful green grass and gorgeous flowers. Without the rain, we would have the tough dry terrain plagued by fires and droughts.

I have learned to take the good with the bad and make the most of where I am at the moment…

So I am going to enjoy the restful sleep I get from allowing the raindrops to lull me into the abyss…and dream of rainbows and blue skies.
