EXHALES

I really hit “copy & paste” with this one.

The crazy part is that as she becomes older and more grounded, she is too much like me 😂 bossy, matter of fact, and vocal.

Yesterday she read me down! All I could do was respond with a nervous chuckle. She definitely became the mom and I became the disobedient child. Long story short, she was right. She had been right for a long time, but I moved in my fear.

My daughter is one of the smartest, most artistic, analytical, and wild people I know. She got all of both Darryl and my personality traits and took all the good parts and made her own.

When she was young she was a quiet tiny little tot. My babydoll. But she was tough and sassy. 26 years later she is a headstrong determined young woman forging her way through life. Alone. Away from me. I love and hate it. Overtime she became my best friend and the holder of my emotional baggage.

I am glad God gave her to me. Sometimes I wish she was a little softer in her delivery to me but, that’s my child 🙄 the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.

If you want to know what my greatest gift to the world is, you have to meet my pooh 💕
