Michigan weather has been all over the place today. The change from cold, to wet and rainy, to freezing, with large snow flakes, started to effect my mood.

But thinking back on all that I have endured and how far I’ve come, all I can do is smile.

These past 18-24 months have broken my heart in so many ways with what seems like constant loss of loved ones.

Today I smile for what would have been my baby cousin’s 44th birthday. She was human sunshine 🌞

I am blessed because she is a part of me.

Everyday I remind myself to find a reason to smile.
