I'm an engineer. When I managed a team I would often tell them to respond / ask in ten words or less. 5W, 2H what, where, when, why, who, how, how much.
Engineers speak facts and data. It makes me comfortable and I can concentrate on the problem and the solution required.
Yet here I am writing emotional prose in the middle of the night. Pouring out my heart and soul. Allowing myself to be utterly vulnerable to all who read. I never would have thought this would be so therapeutic. All these words, capturing all that I am.
The engineer in me is amazed at the essayist in me. 🤓
