A Quote from Rumi

A quote from Rumi says that “the wound is the place where the light enters you”…

In other words, when we are in trouble or are going thru a rough phase in life, that is the time when we are closest to God. It is the time where you get the enlightenment and awareness of HIS presence and HIS power. It is when your faith is most tested, but your conviction is rewarded with proof of HIS and promise to us.

When things were going well, I didn’t put much work into my gift and spirituality. I took my family and life for granted. I put them on hold for so many things that in hindsight were not that important. I was exhausted, stressed, and most days angry to the point of tears. I did a lot, but I didn’t feel fulfilled.

Lately, I have been drawn to light. I have a fascination and borderline obsession with sunshine. I am in a state of thankfulness and gratefulness. Life is harder than it has ever been…MUCH HARDER…but the joy I feel, the gifts I share, the people that I meet…all I can say is I am blessed.

I feel like I am working in my purpose. I feel like I keep receiving gifts. I feel glorious. Even my bad days don’t compare to the emptiness that I used to feel when I was not living in my light. It’s just different, knowing that these times won’t last forever and there is still greater joy yet to come.
