Family

As you get older family takes on a different light. You bond or release yourself from the family you were born into. The appreciation of time compels you to value the people you allow in your space.

4 years ago, almost to the day, my husband lost his mother. His father had already passed away. He being an only child, made coping with her loss that much more difficult and lonesome. He told me he felt he lost the only family he had since childhood. I couldn't imagine.

Since that time his own health has diminished. My mother and siblings have stepped in to shower my husband with so much love. My mother checks on him and dotes on him with extra care. My brothers and sisters do as well. My family keeps us in their prayers and help us as much as they can.

My mother created a beautiful family circle that allows us to be our individual selves and speak and live our truth. She tells us like it is…with stern emotion and strong conviction. She gives us her opinion and doesn't hold back. But we know that we are protected and loved. This family. This circle of love, keeps me sane….keeps me fighting….keeps me going
