Proverbs 29:18 “where there is no vision, the people perish”

I held a Vision Board workshop and had an incident occur that I’ve never experienced. There was a person that had nothing to put on their board. No words, no encouraging stickers, no future dreams, no cute pictures. I left the workshop feeling heart broken. I said a prayer 🙏🏾.

I don’t know why but it disturbed my spirit. What becomes of a person that has no dreams, nothing that they are looking forward to?

My dreams and goals kept me motivated through my bad times. I had something to go after, something to keep me going when I felt hopeless. Have we taken away people's hopes? Does the future look bleak? Will this person make it through life?

My first thought was if this is the reason so many people chose to end their lives than to continue on? Do suicidal people literally have empty Vision Boards? Does their future seem hopeless?

I pray that everyone I encounter can see that they have a purpose and are needed. I hope everyone finds what makes them happy 🥺
