Seasons

Sometimes when we are in a rut and bad place we start to compare our lives with the lives of others. Don’t. Comparison kills. You don’t know what the other person has had to overcome and endure to get to where they are.

All you should do is concentrate on you. Appreciate the journey you are on. Realize that all things happen as they should. Understand that this may not be your season to recieve everything you want. There may be a lesson, or a place, or a situation that you need to go through or around before you reach your goal.

For me, I had to lose my job to see that my husband needed me WAY more than I acknowledged. I was forging ahead trying to win at a job, when I needed to deal with my husband’s declining health. I asked myself why I was being punished, when really I was being taught. I was avoiding what God had planned for me by choosing my own path. I had to lose what I thought I wanted to recieve everything I wanted AND needed.

When things are awful and seemingly unfair, be grateful, be observant, be mindful, be open…ask God what he is trying to show you and lean on Him. Write down what brings you joy, bless someone who is struggling as well, surround yourself with people who are working on themselves…and be faithful…

Your season of winning is coming.
