As I brace myself to attend the funeral of one of my best friends. I look out onto the moonlight.

Give me strength to accept what I don’t understand.

Give me faith to believe all things happen as they should.

Give me wisdom of words to comfort those in need.

Give me peace of mind in holding on to what once was.
