God is good and merciful. I am thankful for the blessings that I receive. My husband had surgery the day after his injury. He was up walking the next day. I was a worried wife. Praying and believing. Making decisions no wife should ever have to make.

My husband comes out of the surgery and was asked if he was ready start physical therapy.

He looked me dead in the eye and said "football players have injuries all the time and get back up and run top speed". Then he walked 150 feet. The day after he had surgery!

The next day I told him everything that happened. He couldn’t remember half of what happened. Drugs. Good drugs.

Anyway, I told him I was proud of him and he was doing a good job. Again, he looked me dead in the eye and said “You know I have the same injury as Bo Jackson”

I don’t know if he told me that because Bo Jackson is my absolute favorite football player. Bo is why I am a Raiders fan. Bo Jackson was a two sport playing bad ass!

My husband is a badass.

And I thank God he left him here with me for a little while longer💜
