Silent Prayers

This week I hosted two separate Vision Board workshops with the Flint schools. In the workshops there were groups of young girls, 3rd through 7th grade that were very vocal. They were sassy, confident, and outspoken about their likes/dislikes. I was amused by their unguarded confidence and conversations.

As I giggled to myself listening to the young ladies, sadness washed over my spirit. I said a prayer for those girls...

I pray that this world doesn't knock them down and make them lose their confidence and uniqueness. I hope that they continue to love themselves enough to speak their minds. I hope the world doesn't teach them that they are too tall, too short, too fat, too skinny, too loud, too quiet, too confident, too reserved, too dark, too light, too sassy, too much. I hope that all little girls are loved beyond compare and grow to be great leaders🙏🏾💜
