I have become so accustomed to spending the holidays with a sick husband that I don't even plan for them anymore. This year did not disappoint. Yesterday's scare ended with another stay in ICU. Same illness but different symptoms. I hate that my hubby has to go through this. It seems so unfair. I am thankful for the EMS, doctors, and medical staff for always treating him with dignity and respect. It gives me peace to at least know he is well taken care of when I am not there.

*chuckling* because in April 2020 he was in the hospital during the covid lock down and he couldn't have any visitors. All of his clothes, wallet, and phone came up missing...we've come a long way. I am glad I can still smile and laugh after the tears.
