Push Through🧘🏾

Last night was rough. Today I had to employ my learned strategies to keep my spirits up.

I always encourage everyone to keep going during difficult times. Sometimes those times seem insurmountable. When I encounter particularly difficult times I've learned to put myself in the moment. It's how I stop worrying about future problems and obstacles. It's how I get out of my head. When I am in my head, I am usually holding my breath. Waiting on the ball to drop. Trying to brace myself for what's going to happen next. Unnecessary stress and worry.

I slow myself down. I close my eyes and I breathe. I literally just concentrate on breathing and controlling my breathing.

I focus on breathing in and filling my belly with enough air to inflate my stomach.

I breathe out. I over exaggerate exhaling, making a loud noise to relieve all the air in my stomach. I continue to do this until my only thoughts are only on breathing.

It's how I clear my mind, reset myself, and get in the moment.

Breathe. And push through 🧘🏾
